RESULTS!
Over the years, we've had so many amazing stories and life transformations, I've been honored to have been a part in their journey! I just wish we had gotten them ALL:)
From various regular gym goers in our gym, SouthSide Fitness of 10 years, women in my various programs and the many challenges I ran, here's real people telling their stories and I just KNOW you can relate to them!



My six week challenge ended today .. the challenge was 20 pounds in six weeks ... I am thrilled to say I lost 23 pounds and feel great and I look pretty good too 🙂
Thanks to everyone who helped me achieve my goal .. and I am going to go out for a burger and fries today to celebrate ...
I have more energy and feel rejuvenated

I started this challenge because when I was younger I was always active skiing, hiking, camping and also landscaping until I graduated college. I kept skiing but barely made it to the gym or any other activity for that matter. Fast forward to now I have desk job and I just never had the drive to workout I also never had any real training so it kept me from the gym. After having a gym membership at PF for over two years and only going probably 30 times. I know sad right. I knew I needed a change. So the Six week challenge was my change and boy am I glad I did this. Excited to see the final outcome this week 🙂

I have always been an active person, even athletic, if you will. High school sports, hiking, kayaking, etc.… After having children (gaining sixty pounds with my second child…eek) I did my best trying to work it off…to no avail. Now, my “baby” is nineteen years old.
After years of being a member at a national gym chain, with no concrete results, paired with a national weight loss company, that for some reason I just couldn’t consistently follow, and then a failed attempt at an all woman’s boot camp due to lack of accountability (which I obviously need), I was flailing as I made my way, doing my own thing.
Then, as I was scrolling through Facebook, Jaime literally jumped on the screen. Her energy and enthusiasm paired with my need to find something made me have to go and check it out.... contd


I have to say, Jaime has spent more time with me since our first meeting (face to face, coming up to me before classes, and messaging) than I had ever received during my whole year at another gym. I have learned valuable meal planning information with recipes to follow to make things easier; I’ve received at home workouts that can be done on top of my three minimum gym days and I’ve made some friends through the networking on the Challenge Group Facebook page!
Now that I have completed the challenge, and after seeing the change in myself with the transformation pictures that were taken, I have decided to continue for another six months. Jaime continues to provide meal planning guidance, weekly accountability with weigh-ins and I still attend the semi-private trainings. I can also use the gym equipment on my own, now that I have gained knowledge of programs/routines to follow. I am so glad I didn’t just ‘scroll on by’ when Jaime jumped on the screen ~Ann L


I completed the 6 week challenge almost 3 weeks ago. I started the challenge because I turned 60 this year and really wanted to get back into strength training and a solid nutrition plan. I had always been a gym rat but after a bad snowmobiling accident in my 50's, I fractured shoulder and pelvis in 3 places. I was laid up for 4 months and lost a lot of muscle. After that I became a cardio queen and lifted weights minimally. Jaime has totally helped me get back into strength training and more diversified workouts. I have so much more energy and feel stronger. Can't wait to see what the next 6 months bring.

When I joined the six-week challenge I'm not going to lie I was terrified I wasn't sure what I was walking into being a 40 year old obese woman walking into a gym and getting potential stares and looks was horrifying. However I walked into Southside Side Fitness and the first person to greet me was Ben. After waiting for Jaime Berggren to come in I could already tell that this was going to be a good thing for me I watched a few people go through their workouts I met with Jaime I pushed my fears aside and I did it I signed up for the 6-week challenge.
With the six-week challenge I realized I can do hard s*** I had to get out of my head and just keep going I did not lose the 20 lb that was expected but I gained confidence, strength, friendships and a new love for myself!

I have been exercising throughout my entire adulthood. In the past couple of years my motivation to do so has waxed and waned. I knew that I had to do something in order to get back on track. I had passed over “Jamie’s Six Week Challenge” post several times. However, one day I stopped and listened to it. I decided to give it a try, as I knew I needed to get out of my exercise rut. Participating in the Six Week Challenge has been a great fit for me!! My energy level has increased, I feel good about my body and overall well being. Ben and Abie have been instrumental in getting me to this point and I thank them for that!! The Six Week Challenge provides a great opportunity to work towards a healthy lifestyle change, resulting in a positive sense of self physically, emotionally and mentally!!!

" 9 years ago, while pregnant, I gained 73 pounds in the course of 8 months! Around a year later I decided that I should lose that weight therefore, went on starving myself for weeks…Nothing!
Stubbornly, the weight around my hips, thighs and belly refused to drop. Throughout the years, I tried every weight loss program advertised on TV! I enrolled in fitness centers used the treadmill and elliptical for hundreds of hours, yet the weight loss was so slow…
Then I decided to join small groups boot camp style programs although their workout helped a little bit in shaping my body I still wouldn’t lose the weight! Years of unhealthy eating habits and sedentary lifestyle were to blame for my extreme slow metabolism! With diet plans and rigorous workouts I would lose on average 2 pounds per month!
After years of trying hard without much success, a friend introduced me to Jaime at Southside fitness. She explained to me why my metabolism was like that and how to reverse it. She gave me a meal plan I can understand and incorporate to my busy schedule. The trainers took their time to teach me the correct exercises moves and pushed me harder. If the weights were heavy they would help me lift them until my body adapts.
In my 4 weeks at Southside fitness, I lost 8 pounds and 1 dress size. I lift heavier weights and increased my cardio! For some 8 pounds a month might not seem a lot. For me who has been on a plateau for the past year, 8 pounds would be my yearly goal and I was able to achieve it in 30 days!
I didn’t trust myself to be strong and focused, but they believed in me and showed me the right way… for that I will be endlessly grateful!"

Working with Jamie has been great. Each day challenges you in new ways and you are constantly building more strength. Getting up early and starting the day with such a great work out makes the rest of the day so much better knowing you’ve already accomplished so much and that you don’t have to drag yourself to the gym after work when you just want to go home and relax or have errands and chores to do. Bootcamp motivates me to push myself harder than I ever would by myself at a gym and Jaime always makes sure you know how to properly preform an exercise and suggests adaptions if something is too challenging.”

These amazing transformations are only a depiction of what took place on the outside, but so much more took place for these to become a reality... creating a way, persevering through the challenges and reaching stepping stones will be vital lessons in being able to navigate through the challenges through the path of building yourself and building your life!
